Be Skin savvy #9 – No Fluff or Fuss! This is how I describe one of the facials that I offer. It is a great treatment and it is just that ‘a great treatment’. What it is not is an all-inclusive facial that includes thorough massage. I have been to many classes over the years and more recently the trend seems to have leaned towards “drive though facials” as I call them. “No fluff” the instructor would say as if it were a dirty word, and complete waste of time. Apart from the Ad…ult cleanse, all my facials include massage, in-fact its a large part of what I do, Why? massaging the shoulders, neck and scalp eases a tremendous amount of facial tension which makes us look tired and older (who needs that?), massaging the hands and arms releases shoulder tension which releases neck tension which releases facial tension (see how this is working?). Massage brings blood, oxygen and nutrients to the skin and drains fluid, helping with detoxification of the tissues and puffiness. The massage can be a combination of many styles, acupressure, lymphatic drainage and European combined with essential oils to further treat and enhance the efficacy and customize the treatment for your skin. “Bring on the fluff!”- that’s what I say! the benefits are boundless………..
